Sales Prospecting

Sales Prospecting (sometimes known as CRM) is an important part of Antares. Whereas the estimating part of Antares is responsible for pricing a job and presenting it to the customer, the Sales Prospecting programs are responsible for keeping track of the quotation and will remind you to contact the customer to try to convert his quotation into an order.

The sales prospecting module will also keep notes of conversations with customers, so that when you contact them, you can be reminded of what was said last time you spoke.

The purpose of sales prospecting is to allow you to be more active and more efficient about chasing and securing orders, rather than relying on memory or “post-it” notes!

The important feature of the sales prospecting is that it is linked to the Antares customer and contact database and can also therefore be linked via Microsoft Excel to other areas of marketing such as mail-shot campaigns.

The screenshot shows an example of how each day the prospecting program presents a list of customers who need to be contacted. These customers might have made an enquiry recently or they might simply be due for a regular “keep in touch” call. Clicking on any customer in the list will give full details of what was said last time you spoke and once you have spoken again, you can record further details of the conversation and you can also program a further followup date. By this means, no customer should ever get forgotten.
